Tuesday July 14th (evening [with Mom and Dad]): I ordered the International Crepe meal with the Nutella Crepes at IHOP. There were three crepes, filled with chocolate-hazelnut Nutella brand spread, and topped with strawberries in syrup. On a separate dish were two eggs (over-easy), two bacon strips, and hash browns substituted for the two sausage links. I actually had the exact same thing only a couple days earlier at IHOP for breakfast when Aunt Becky was treating, but I couldn't help getting them a second time.

i don't dig on the sweet crepes or crepes + fruit scenario for some reason. i can go for savory crepes any time, though. and, man, nutella? i don't get it. "hey, let's make chocolate that tastes like bananas and has the consistency of melted plastic!!" "hey, no thanks!!"
ReplyDeletehere's a list of my latest consumees:
watched "misery" last night with anne
started watching the british sci-fi comedy "red dwarf" a few nights ago
finished reading two books of raymond carver short stories last week - "cathedral" and "what we talk about when we talk about love"
had a blimpie chicken caesar wrap for lunch - spinach tortilla, swiss cheese, mayo, lettuce, onion, tomato, pickles, banana peppers, bell peppers, sweet peppers, hots, caesar dressing, side of macaroni salad, medium mtn. dew
anne made spaghetti two days ago, so we've been eating that quite a bit
you know me - food with the consistency of melted plastic is right up my alley. The only thing the nutella crepes were missing is a big butter-ball on top.
ReplyDeleteI bought a carver short story book at a yard sale some time ago but haven't gotten around to reading it. Now I may just have to.
And I haven't heard of "misery" - what is it?
I think everyone should have a food blog - it's srsly so much fun to post the best or most interesting meal of the day
Brian, if I send you a picture of your leftovers from August 1 (Olive Garden / Vader Party), would you blog about them? They're still growing mold in my fridge.
ReplyDeletesend me the pics and I'll do it! It will be a tragic post... I've missed those leftovers dearly
